I can be my own wayback machine… It’s been two years since we toured the Southwest and we’ve missed it ever since. Can’t wait to have a reason to go back. After a week (working) in Vegas, this was our first real day on vacation: the Grand Canyon. The wind was blowing so hard that you really understood the power nature wields to make such a place. We hiked the South Kaibab Trail to Cedar Ridge and back. It took us twice as long to come up as it did to go down – what a workout! On our way back up in the afternoon, we met a guy who stopped to chat with us. He told us he was on his way back into the Canyon for his second hike of the day. Showoff.
