Braddock is a borough of Pittsburgh where steel is still being made at USS ET Works. It’s almost – but not quite – a ghost town, with a few people clinging to the community as it crumbles around them. But there manages to still be beauty and life there.
Times Square Nutballs
You had the candyman – dressed entirely in candy necklaces, the guy who spray-painted himself gold, and plenty of equally interesting people who call this place home.
Times Square Proposal
The clothing store 21 had this really cool billboard in Times Square that showed the reflection of the people standing across the street. What a great novelty. It was so much fun to watch everyone’s expression as they noticed it and picked themselves out of the crowd. Some were more impressed than others. And one even felt inspired to get down on one knee and propose. Probably didn’t have anything to do with the billboard, but it was the most exciting moment of the evening for me.
